I’ve been a fan of Kim Walmsley for a long time now. I bought a piece of her artwork more than 10 years ago. At the time she was not well known, and I just fell in-love with the piece. Now her artwork is popping up all over town. From large scale murals to kindergarten walls, Kim’s talent and genius is something Toowoomba should be proud of. Although not originally from Toowoomba, Kim chooses to call Toowoomba home. She has taken every opportunity to hone her skills and has grown as a person and an artist. The detail she puts into her work and her capacity to tell a story through art is beyond compare.
Today I attended the opening of Ngambaa Birrang Once Upon a Dreamtime, an exhibition by Kim Walmsley at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery. It is on until the 28th of July. Please don’t miss it. It is truly incredible.
